TIME ALLOCATION FOR HOME ACTIVITIES (HOUSEHOLD CHORES)

The Time Allocated for Household Activities or Chores – China measure includes 2 items from the 2015 China Economic, Population, Nutrition, and Health Survey also referred to as the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS). Asked of participants 6 years or older, these items focus on the time spent on different types of household activities and chores in the past week in terms of minutes per day. The CHNS is a multi-province survey aimed at understanding how social, economic, and governmental policies (e.g., family planning efforts) affect the health and nutrition of Chinese residents. Navigational aspects (i.e. skip-out patterns) have not been included on this page but can be viewed on the original questionnaire here.
