Ambivalence Toward Men Inventory (AMI) - Short Form

The Ambivalence Toward Men Inventory (AMI) - Short Form is a shortened, 12-item adaptation of the 20-item AMI found here. The measure contains two subscales: hostility toward men (HM), and benevolence toward men (BM). HM expresses hostility toward male dominance, cultural attitudes that portray men as superior, and the ways in which men exert control within intimate relationships. BM represents subjectively positive attitudes toward men rooted in traditional admiration for men’s role as protectors and providers.
