The Exposure Screening Protocol- Physical Assault is a multi-item self-reported checklist designed to screen exposure to traumatic events endorsed in emerging adults. The Exposure Screening Protocol is used for the recruitment of individuals exposed to significant trauma. Participants are asked to indicate direct exposure to physical assault.

Instructions: Listed below are a number of stressful events that people sometimes experience. Please read over this list carefully, and mark only those events that describe a significant event you have experienced. By significant event, we are referring to events which resulted in considerable emotional distress at the time andor continue to result in ongoing distress.

The participant is screened as having a prior trauma history if they have experienced a potentially traumatic event in addition to a response of a least 2 to item 8. Other scoring procedures can be utilized depending on the project.
